Earlier today I tried to make a gif of several scenes from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World with Emil saying “I’m sorry” but I had so many frames loaded from so many scenes it made photoshop crash

It’s one of the things that frustrated me earlier today (just one of those days where a bunch of small frustrating things happened that just piled up) but looking back on it now it’s freaking hilarious

the joke is that Emil apologizes a lot.

I like how Zelos can tell that it’s not Lloyd because of the way he SMELLS.  And apparently knows his taste in cologne.  Oh, ToS.  That, and Zelos is the only character who hasn’t lost faith in Lloyd.  Makes it seem like the Zelloyd ending is practically canon, considering how little everyone else from the first game seems to know about what Lloyd’s been doing…

Seriously, have you guys noticed that, in terms of alternate scenes from relationship values, Zelos is second only to Colette?  There’s even a motivational speech that Lloyd gets, which is normally delivered by Colette no matter WHO likes Lloyd the most… unless it’s Zelos, who is the ONLY OTHER PERSON who can give this speech to Lloyd!

It’s like Zelos is the backup soulmate, second only to Colette (and only because she’s the easiest to please and most likely to get if you don’t pay attention to relationship values), as far as the storyline is concerned.  

…Which is AWESOME.  I like how the gay option (Zelos) has more depth and special scenes than any other character besides the childhood friend.   I mean, thanks to the affection system, there IS no official couple in Tales of Symphonia… but MAN did they lean on the Zelloyd throughout the game AND all of its spinoffs.  

ALL.  OF.  THIS!!!!!!!!!

The lamest Top 9 Guys of Tales prompt fill ever because of the middle row rofl I’m sorrrrreeeeeeeeeeee… my choices are limited because I only have like three of these games to pick favorite characters from but I WISH I COULD PLAY MORE ;____________;

Presented mostly in order, idk switch Chester and Cless maybe, ‘cause I’m pretty sure I like Chester more.

1. Zelos Wilder - REASONS GOSH MAN WHAT A COOL DUDE he is kind of a jerk but like the in the BEST WAY EVER???  Oh man he is so freaking pretty, how is his hair that perfect og my dgod.  AND HE’S SO SAD ACTUALLY… EVEN THOUGH HE’S THE MOST CHEERFUL ONE… I freaking love how positive he was & encouraging & funny but ahHHH WHEN YOU LEARN ABOUT HIM MORE WUAHHH
2. Cless Alvein (& Chester) - they just… need to be together ok they have the best bromantic chemistry ever, man Cless is just the best hero ever I freaking love how Chester was feeling bad for being weaker and Cless is like IT’S OKAY BRO WE’LL GET STRONG TOGETHER WE’RE GONNA DO THIS
3. Chester Barklight (& Cless) - BEST BROOOS FOR REALLL, OHMYGOD WHEN HE STAYED BEHIND SO THAT CLESS COULD ESCAPE JESUS MY HEART it was especially bad/GOOD in the anime adaptation when they showed him fighting and very clearly losing and the bloooOOOOOD (I had to pause it and compose myself, it was so freaking emotional when he…… slumped down and the screen started to fade to black………. GODDDD)
4. Aster - omfg so pure and sweet and innocent noNE OF IT IS HIS FAULT HE IS JUST AN INNOCENT AND PURE CREATURE THAT GOT CAUGHT UP IN EVERYTHING OH MY GOD BABY COME HERE LET ME HOLD YOU
5. Ratatosk - honestly the best parts of the game are when Emil was ‘stuck’ in this mode, what an insanely awesome dude, scares the crap out of me sometimes but that’s kind of awesome????
6. Emil Castagnier - SO FREAKING CUTE OMG I COULD NOT STAND YOU FOR LIKE 15 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY BUT MAN WHEN YOU GOT BETTER BOY DID YOU EVER GET BETTER 
7. Yuan Ka Fai (??? I always forget how his last name goes) - oh man SO PRETTY man he did not get a lot of screentime but man WHEN HE DID… it’s like the world was filled with bishounen sparkles and shoujo-vision roses… also p cool character to boot, kinda like Aster he was a pretty innocent guy that just got swept up in the tumult, his background is heartbreaking.
8. Everyone else I kind-of-sort-of like goes here, Lloyd and Klarth and Regal and Mithos yeahh I couldn’t pick one and wanted to include all of them. ;__;
9. Jade Curtiss goes last only because I haven’t actually played Abyss yet??????? I’m sure when I play it his place on this list will jump up pretty high uhuhuhuhu.
